The Pyramid of Menkaure is one of the pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex near Cairo, Egypt. It was built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2510 BC, for the pharaoh Menkaure (also known as Mykerinos). It is one of the smaller pyramids in the area, but its top is unique in its appearance, as its upper portion was constructed using black granite. The pyramid was originally about 66 feet (20 meters) tall and was built using limestone blocks.
