Aswan
is well known for its pharaonic and Nubian temples, such as The Nubian museum,
is a reminder for the monuments that were lost underwater centuries ago. It
should be mentioned that it has thousands of pieces of Egyptian monuments which belong to different eras. It also has Kalabsha temple, which
is located in South Aswan, next to the Aswan High Dam, so you will have the
chance to visit one of the most famous dams all over the world. This temple is
surrounded by other brilliant structures and buildings like Gerf Hussein, Kiosk
of Qertassi and Beit el-go Wali.
Do not miss The Philae Temple. It is a Greek temple that
was designed for worshipping the god Isis. It has so many enormous columns
decorated with drawings. It is located at the North of The High Dam, for what
Aswan is well known. It is located between Egypt and Sudan and It was
completely built-in 1968 as the Nile water was not enough for the irrigation. The
Aswan High Dam provides water for around 33,600 km². This Dam is 3600 meters
long.
You can also have a tour from Cairo to Aswan. It
enables you to visit the ancient three pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, where
you can have a historical tour riding a camel or a horse. Do not forget to
visit the Egyptian Museum, the archaeological churches and mosques, and Khan El-Khalili, where you can buy souvenirs and enjoy the ancient neighborhoods.
Did you hear about the sun festival in Abu Simbel Temple? So, do not hesitate to watch it during your visit to Egypt. It always
gives a good look at the statue. It happens two times in the year: in 22nd
February and 22nd of October. It was explored in 1817. The temple consists of
two temples that were created during the reign of Ramesses II. It is located at the southwest
of Aswan, however, it is not its original place, because the Egyptian Government
and UNESCO moved it in 1964 in order to save it from Nile Water. You should attend
the Sound and Light Show there, if you are interested in pharaonic history,
you can listen to the story of Isis & Osiris at night.

natural views full of palms, you can visit Elephantine Island. It has a large
museum that is called Aswan. It has the most ancient monuments and a lot of
statues that belong to different kings.
